To call this a cocktail does required a leap of the imagination. It is a simple combination of gin or vodka, grapefruit juice and salt. Perfect for lazy BBQs when you just want something simple.

I find gin works best but vodka is a perfect alternative. Traditionally it not clear if the original was vodka or gin based. Surprisingly Seedlip Grove No.42 works well instead of the spirits if you looking for a non-alcoholic treat.

50ml Gin/Vodka

200ml of Grapefruit Juice

Salt

1. Place your glass in a freezer for 5-10 minutes. On a plate spread a layer of salt and put the glasses rim on the salt to get a fine layer of salt around the rim.

2. Add the gin and grapefruit juice. Add ice till you have reached the rim
