No.75 Mulled Apple

A good mulled apple juice starts with good apple juice. Try to get cloudy apple juice and stay away from the brown water that is sold as apple juice. Unlike my mulled wine recipe this only has the addition of one spice, cinnamon. This makes it perfect for fall or for a non-alcoholic tipple for Christmas.

By adding green apples, e.g. brambley apples, you can increase the tannin acids in the juice, retaining a sharpness to the drink that makes it more similar to cider.

Time: 40 minutes

  4. Strain the liquid
  5. Add more maple syrup to taste and serve.
